Our standards

Editorial policy

We aim to make recommendation logic inspectable, cautious, and useful—even when that means leaving a field blank.

Editorial independence

Affiliate commission potential does not determine awards, ranking, inclusion, or conclusions. Products can be recommended without an affiliate link, and inactive links must not remove relevant editorial analysis.

Sourcing and claims

Manufacturer specifications and merchant-supplied information must be labeled. We do not copy retailer reviews or product descriptions. Claims about testing, ownership, certification, performance, durability, or popularity require evidence appropriate to the claim.

AI-assisted work

Automation may help organize sources, flag stale content, or draft internal material. It may not automatically publish unsupported factual claims. A quality-review step is required before publication, and AI research is never represented as physical product testing.

Updates and corrections

Published content stores update, publication, and last-reviewed dates. Material revisions should produce a content revision record. Corrections should be made promptly and without obscuring what changed.

Publication standard

Public recommendations must pass evidence, claim, duplicate-content, original-value, and human-review gates. Availability, variants, safety information, warranties, and prices should always be confirmed at the current source.
